J-Pop

J-Pop simply stands for Japanese pop, which is a musical genre that has closely followed American pop music the past 20 years (think Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears, but Japanese).

For the most part, J-Pop has not made invaded the USA, but the music can be found in many popular video games and in anime. The most successful J-Pop group in America is Puffy AmiYumi, which briefly had a show, Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, that aired on the Cartoon Network.
